DecoArt Extreme Sheen Garnet is a premium metallic acrylic paint that, thanks to ultra-fine pigments, delivers a strikingly glossy, smooth metallic finish . The water-based formula works smoothly, dries quickly, and creates a durable finish ideal for decorative objects, art projects, and upcycling.

Choose from classic metallics (like gold, silver, and copper) or modern shades for a contemporary look. The fine pigment distribution creates a uniform sheen with minimal brushstrokes. For intensity, apply thin layers; a dark base (e.g., black) deepens the metallic effect.

Application & instructions

1. Preparation – Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust and grease . Lightly sand/prime for better adhesion, if necessary.

2. Stir – Stir gently (do not shake) to avoid air bubbles.

3. Application – Apply in thin layers with a soft brush or foam roller , allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.

4. Build up – 2–3 coats will give a deep, even metallic shine.

5. Finishing (recommended) – For added protection and ease of cleaning, seal with a clear varnish (e.g. DuraClear in Matte/Satin/Gloss).

Tip: A dark base coat enhances the metallic effect; use masking tape for clean edges and patterns.
