What size canvas do I need?

Use this simple formula:

Canvas width = stretcher frame width + 6 cm
Canvas height = stretcher frame height + 6 cm

This provides approximately 3 cm of extra canvas per side, sufficient to stretch the canvas tautly around the stretcher frame.

Choosing the right size

The chosen size is the outer dimension of the stretcher frame. When ordering, ensure you have enough canvas around the edges so you can neatly fold and secure it around the bars.

We recommend a minimum of 3 cm overlap per side. Example: for a 40 × 50 cm stretcher frame, you need a canvas of at least 46 × 56 cm.
